Here Come the Girls

I've been wanting some chickens ever since we moved here and finally they've arrived!

Just 5 to start with; 2 bluebelles Lesley & Libby, 2 blackrocks Millie & Annette then my favorite Elaine the Speckledey. After a week settling in they are now free range and happily scratching up the weeds. They came from the ever so helpful Sarah & Richard at Happy Chicks, www.happychicks.co.uk. No eggs just yet, about another week to go. And so far Bailey has managed to restrain herself from grabbing an organic KFC bargain bucket! In readiness for our first clutch of eggs there's a new dish on the breakfast menu, Libby's 3 egg omlette, they're going to be busy girls!
