Autumn Already

 Sorry it's been a while. Have been enjoying the relative quiet after a busy Summer. Catching up on the jobs I hate doing (paperwork!) and giving the rooms a fresh coat of paint and some TLC. 

Am planning Autumn menus right now and looking forward to the university going back this weekend. There are some old friends back for another year as well as some freshers Mums & Dads to introduce to the delights of Lancaster!

Tourism Awards do is on Monday and I'm so excited! It's a black tie do at Blackpool Tower Ballroom. 

We're making a day of it with a trip to the Pleasure Beach, Illuminations, Fish & Chips & hopefully a shiny trophy at the end of the day - although the competition is really tough and I'm not getting my hopes up.

Animals are all fine; ducks 3 with 1 flying, chickens 5 & all laying, dog still loud but lovely, cat has taken up residence on a spare chair in the dining room.

Will post the new menus and wine list as soon as I decide between french toast & eggs benedict.
