Lancaster is a small city and The Ashton is on the edge of it, next to Williamson Park. We're almost the last house before you're into the beautiful Trough of Bowland. The house is in it's own grounds with plenty of parking & despite being so close to the City Centre it feels like stay at a country retreat.
Getting to us by car is easy, junctions 33 & 34 of the M6 are 10 minutes away. Our address is Well House, Wyresdale Road, Lancaster LA1 3JJ. On booking I'll email directions as Sat Nav can have problems with our postcode.Lancaster's train station is on the West Coast Line and a Virgin Train from London Euston will get you here in 2 and a half hours. Once you've arrived The Ashton is just under a mile away, there's a taxi rank off the North-bound platform and a cab shouldn't be more than £5. The city centre is in walking distance it'd take you about 25 minutes and it's a lovely route through the Park and all downhill into town, coming back I'd recommend a taxi!
Lancaster University is 2 miles away, situated outside the City near Junction 33 of the M6. By car it takes 10 minutes and is about £6 by taxi.
If you're coming for leisure you'll find a number of different days out minutes away. On an afternoon off Bailey and I like Arnside or Kirkby Lonsdale for a balanced afternoon of walking, eating and shopping.
For cyclists The Lune Valley and The Trough of Bowland are right outside the door or head to beautiful Morecambe Bay for good walking and stunning sunsets.
The Lake District is a 30 minute drive or you'd be in Manchester in Liverpool in an hour for a session of retail therapy.
