For Information & Inspiration

There are 2 parts to this page. The first is about places in and around Lancaster, where to visit, eat and enjoy spending time. The second is about things that inspire me and where I'd stay, other than The Ashton of course!

Lancaster Places to Eat:

Bistro 26 locally sourced produce and modern British cooking, Pizza Margherita nothing fancy but good pizza, nice atmosphere & open for a post theatre supper, Quite Simply French classic cooking & an intimate atmosphere, The Bay Horse where I'd choose to eat a drive out into the Trough of Bowland but well worth the taxi fare for great local produce simply cooked, The Borough gastropub with a good range of beers and carefully sourced food, Mung Mee very busy Thai, Miyabi sushi & teppanyaki questionable carpet but food can't be faulted.

Lancaster Places to Visit:

Gresgarth Hall only open one day a month but well worth planning a visit around, Levens Hall , Williamson Park, The Dukes, The Grand, Trough of Bowland, Lancaster Castle

We're moments from Lancaster's historic city centre and minutes from the breathtaking beauty of Morecambe Bay & the Lakeland Fells.

It's where I grew up and I'm passionate about Lancashire's food, people & scenery.
